Doula

A birth doula, also known as a birth companion, is a non-medical companion who supports a birthing woman by providing continuous care before and during birth in the form of information, physical and emotional support.

Covid-19 Emergency Support for labouring women

If you need telephone, Whatsapp or Skype support during labour, please text me on 07980 376303

If I’m available I will offer whatever support I can on a voluntary or pay what you can afford basis.

I can help you with emotional support, a listening ear, words of encouragement, a reminder of your relaxation anchors or some gentle relaxing hypnosis.

Usual Doula Support

As a doula, hypnobirthing practitioner and hypnotherapist, Jacqueline can offer traditional doula services or Hypnobirthing birth support. Jacqueline was trained by world-famous obstetrician, Dr Michel Odent, and has experience of attending many home hypnobirths births. Her standard doula homebirth package includes a minimum of two pre-natal visits, unlimited phone and email contact, attendance through your birth (available from 38 weeks to 42 weeks) and one post-natal visit. Please contact me for availability and prices.

An “ad hoc” Hypnobirthing support service is also available to HypnoBirthing Canterbury/The Positive Hypnobirthing Company clients only. This is where you book me to support you at your birth, but no on-call period is arranged, and attendance at your birth is not guaranteed. You phone me on the day of your labour and, if I am free, I will be there. If, on the day, you decide you don’t need me, or I am unable to be there, there is nothing to pay. Please contact me for availability and prices. Payable only if birth attendance is provided.

Please note that I am currently only able to offer doula support to our Hypnobirthing clients.
